A month, GIR! He bet me that I couldn’t go a whole tiny human month without talking to him! Is he too stupid to understand that a month is NOTHING to a mighty Irken Encoder??? 

(The SIR unit doesn’t respond to you. He’s too busy swimming through the pile of rubber piggies strewn all over this particular room of your base. You continue to tinker on the piece of equipment you’ve been putting together for a handful of human months, now.)

The human stinkbeast has no idea how long I’ve been alive! (Your antenna twitch as you tap your talons against the counter.) You know, I did the math, once! If Zim were heh-yuman, I’d be one hundred and fifty years old! (You drop your wrench, cursing under your breath as you bend down onto the floor to get it.) The Dib-stink is only fourteen!!! 

(GIR shrieks somewhere to your left, giggling all the while as he jumps back into the pile of piggies. You snort, resisting the urge to roll your eyes at the SIR unit’s atypical behavior. He’s always been like this. The Tallests insisted he was just a special model. You’ve done what you could to his software and hardware, but there was just something – different about him.

Not that it really mattered – GIR has and will continue to be the best little asset you have. His personality is dog-like enough that when the two of you go out in disguise together, he blends in with the other filthy animal companions seamlessly.) 

ZIM has been alive TEN TIMES as long as he has! I’ve seen things the tiny human brain wouldn’t even be able to comprehend! It took us six months to arrive here on our assigned planet! 

(The assigned planet that, while you’ve gathered quite a bit of data on over Earth revolutions, still eludes your complete domination of it. There’s just so much research to be done, and the humans are terrible record keepers. All of the information available to you through various avenues are clearly manipulated and incomplete – including the information provided at the pathetic institution the humans refer to as skool. 

The humans clearly did not understand the importance of proper, unbiased record keeping – something that made it abundantly clear that the humans were far more primitive than their current technological level would imply. They still fought wars among themselves, for example. You find yourself wondering just how stupid this species could actually be.) 

He also had the month start right after we did the informal human ritual of ‘shaking’ on it! The nerve of that stupid, wretched heh-yuman. 

“Awww. Mary doesn’t want you to talk to him anymore?” 

(You sigh. Something twists in your chest cavity. Swallowing the odd sensation away, you pick up a different tool and move to dismantle the piece of equipment all over again.) No, GIR. He wants me to leave him alone for a wretched human month. And he thinks he won’t be begging Zim to start talking to him again by the end of it! (You scoff, turning to glance at the SIR unit as he approaches you, his eyes big and somehow watering.) 

“Mary doesn’t want to talk to you, anymore?!” (Your antenna flatten against your skull, and you rush pull a different stupid rubber animal out from your pak.) 

Of course the Dib still wants to talk to me! (You hedge for a moment as GIR’s circuitry continues to do…. whatever it is doing.)

[Note to self: Examine GIR’s code once more to see if there is a way to make him…. not do that.] 

He just – needs a break! Yes! A break from ME, the almighty ZIM and his future master. 

“A… break? Did Mary break up with you, Master?! Oh no!!”  Eh? (You blink at GIR as he dissolves into sobs. His words catch up to you, and one of your ocular implants twitch at GIR’s implication.) No, GIR. He did not break up with me. He just made a stupid bet with me, and I intend to win it.

A/N: This idea has been in my mind forever. As an esthetician in training I want nothing more than to pamper him

Handing Sylus a golden glass of Whisky, you sat down beside him with your own.

A smile danced on Sylus’ lips as he took the glass from your hand and took a swig of the amber liquid. “Hey dove, how was work?”

Cradling your glass in your hand you spoke, “It was good! Actually, I have a question for you.”

Sylus hummed acknowledging what you said.

“We have a promotion going on right now where we’re able to bring in our partners or family members for half off. I’ll be able to give you a facial!”

Sylus clearly noticed your excitement on the topic. “For half off? You know i’d pay all the money in the world for your services, dove.”

“That’s not the point Sy!” You giggled, “I know you can more than afford the normal prices but I still want to bring you in. Are you interested?”

“You’d like me to come in?” You nodded, your eyes shining. “Then I’ll come in.” Leaning in, you hugged your husband. “Thank you my love.” His arm wrapped around your waist bringing you tighter into the hug, “Anything for you.”

Checking the IPad, you smiled when Sylus’ name turned green. He was signed in and waiting for you. You made your way to the waiting room with a gown thrown over your forearm. “Hello honey!” You exclaimed.

The crimson eyed man stood up and approached you, “Hello dove, I���m ready for my treatment.” Sylus watched you as you directed him towards the change room. He thought you looked adorable with your scrubs on and your hair up. He rarely saw you in your work look.

Pointing towards the white door, you spoke. “There’s the changing room. Take off your top and throw the gown on for me. There’s a robe and slippers in the locker if you’d like. I’ll be waiting out here for you when you’re finished.”

Standing outside the door, you waited for your husband. In just a minute he emerged from behind the door with the white gown and slippers on. “Awh you’re so cute Sy!”

“Am I now?” He stood there with his arms crossed. Chuckling you began walking, “follow me again. I’m going to take you to the facial bed.”

He followed you into the dim room with spa music playing. Taking the corner of the bed sheet you opened it up for him. After toeing off his slippers he slipped into the bed. “I’m going to put the headband on you now, ok?”

He looked up at you and hummed. Scooping his bangs back with your hand, you velcroed the two sides of the hairband together. Taking out your camera you took a photo of your cute husband. His eyes opened immediately at the camera shutter sound.

“Someone must of forgotten to put her phone on silent. Isn’t it against the rules to take photos of your clients.”

“Not when it’s my adorable husband it’s not.” Sylus playfully scoffed at that.

“Ok close your eyes we’re going to begin.” Sylus obliged, closing his eyes without another word. Taking a pump of oil, you rubbed it on your hands. “Ok we’re going to begin with an inhalation. Breathe in with me, then breathe out,” Following your instructions, your husband breathed in and out at your count. The citrus scent filled the room.

“Doesn’t this oil smell so good? It’s one of my favourites.” He nodded with his eyes closed, “It’s quite refreshing.”

You then began the service. Grabbing all the cleansers and oils you needed, you placed them down on your trolly. Your hands roamed your husbands porcelain skin. For someone who gets into dangerous situations as a living, he had absolutely no scars or marks on his face. He was gorgeous. You took this time to study your husbands face, encoding every detail of it into your mind.

Seeing your husband relaxed was an unusual sight. He was always tense and on guard keeping an eye out for anything all the time. But here, he was able to let his guard down. He seemed calm, less tense. It was the touch of his beloved that calmed him.

Arriving to the massage, you kneaded his shoulders which made him let out some groans. “Feel good, honey?” Your hands roamed his neck and shoulders applying soft pressure with the warm oil in your hands.

“So goo-ah good, dove.” That made you smile. You were happy that you were able to help your husband relax even if it was only for an hour.

The end of the facial approached. Removing his hair band, you sat him up and positioned his slippers by his feet. Handing him a hand mirror, he was able to get a good look as his fresh skin. “You’re glowing Sy. Don’t you feel so refreshed.”

He nodded, “I do thanks to a wonderful someone.” Standing up, he grabbed both of your hands and placed them in his. Tilting his head down he gave you a soft peck on your lips. “Thank you, dove. I appreciate everything you do for me.”

“You know i’d do this anytime you want me to.” You gave him one more peck before escorting him back to the changing room. You were able to clean up your station before he returned.

“Do you have any more clients today?” Your husband asked.

You shook your head, “Nope, only you!”

He hummed, “Perfect let’s go home, and i’ll show you my appreciation with my…own massage.” He drawled.

Your face heated up at his comment. “Sy!”

He chuckled at your reactions. “You did a great job today, let’s go home.”

Sketches that Steven (I think it was Steven -- might've been Alicia?) did last night while we were high.

Whichever one of them it was, they drew each sketch while listening to the song written on the sketch and then labeled the alter they ended up drawing / the alter the songs' vibes matched.

Incidentally this is also the three main characters (Cas, Steven, Andrew) and the two masks (Alicia & Alex), which I thought was funny.

aaaa unfortunately i don't use openutau (have had similar troubles getting it to work, ended up putting it aside for the time being) so i don't know if i can be of much help OTL

When you go to the (not a) website, you see a black page with a single, white triangle and a prompt for a password.

So how do we get this password? Later in the book, Bill subjects us to "The One True Intelligence Test". (Make sure to sharpen your No. 37 pencils in preparation!) Question 7 of the test is a Tilt-To-Read image with clues to the password encoded. Answers below:

DPxDC or other such DP crossover fics sometimes like to flirt with the idea of immensely powerful/eldritch Ghost King and/or Ancient Of Space Danny who outclasses everyone else, but I feel like they often fall short of making his power come across as truly overwhelming instead of just like… “regular powerful”.

Like sure he can easily take out the designated Worf dangerous villain (often Darkseid in a DPxDC thing) but like… without the actual story itself truly establishing that character’s power beforehand, that doesn’t necessarily feel as impactful as it could.

And even if the story does try to establish that, “he just punches the enemy and they fold” doesn’t carry the same… pizazz as something more reality-shaking.

(Not that stories necessarily need that pizazz, but like for reinforcing the image of strength it’s certainly helpful, especially if you don’t have that established power to take down first)

So anyway here’s a sorta rambled set of ideas for that sort of “more overwhelming power” stuff

What if when Danny is summoned, the whole world lurches for a moment as all of the planet’s momentum is ground to a halt by his arrival then reinstated. Or maybe gravity just… stops working for a moment, letting many items drift upwards into the air before falling back down.

Perhaps the whole sky could suddenly shift too. The daytime sky blackens to night, or the night turns to day. Maybe all the stars flare up brightly enough to become visible despite the sun’s glare (probably also shining brightly enough to cause eye damage to anyone unlucky enough to be looking outside at the time).

Or you could go more horror/freaky eldritch with it. The stars change to resemble eyes staring down on the world. Whispers can be heard originating from somewhere in the sky above. Maybe you’re crazy, but you could swear there’s a pattern to the positions of the stars currently visible, some hidden message encoded within them.

Or like just generally… summoning something that powerful isn’t a quiet affair. The world feels his arrival.

Relatedly, though not quite as directly relevant to this post’s contents, you’d probably also want to greatly increase the difficulty of summoning him. He’s too impressive to be given a lame/easy summoning ritual, you know? Make them work for their chance to talk to something this powerful.

And what about when Danny is present? How would he interact with the world?

Maybe when he needs to grab something from somewhere distant, instead of just creating a small portal and reaching through, space itself folds. Their vision distorts and suddenly the other location is just there beside them as if it always had been. Danny casually just reaches across, grabs the item, and then the world returns to normal.

Or alternatively, a tiny version of the world appears in his hands—not just a copy but an instance of the planet itself—and he just reaches down into it and plucks the item up. If someone were to happen to look up from the item’s location while he did it, they would see a planet-sized figure reaching down and lifting the item away into the heavens. And as it shrinks away into the distant sky, it simultaneously grows to appear in Danny’s own hand retracting from the globe.

That effect could also appear in a more subtle fashion when he travels - instead of zipping through the air, he seems to walk casually, yet each step moves him forward an immense distance across the planet (or beyond).

And when he fights, he’s unstoppable. His regular abilities are already tuned up to a million - cold powerful to bring a whole planet to basically absolute zero, his wail nearly tearing the fabric of universe ahead of him apart, etc. But you could also give him other fancier things based on being Ancient of Space or Ghost King like throwing around miniature stars or black holes, pulling people’s souls out of their bodies, etc. Hell, just the manipulation of space on its own would open up ridiculous numbers of possibilities - redirecting attacks (guaranteeing that his attacks hit and that others’ attacks miss (or are even turned back on themselves)), stretching/compressing space around someone to prevent them from moving, folding space to drop them into something hazardous like a supernova, etc.

Again, this is a version of Danny that’s meant to be godlike. I feel like his power should be able to majorly reshape the whole world around him (and thus you’d want/need to openly shown it as such for that fact to come across).

Even if he isn’t fighting, there’s also the more passive possibilities because like, his power doesn’t necessarily just vanish when not in use.

His aura is often shown freezing people under the weight of his power, but let’s take it further into the theme. It doesn’t just make them freeze, it forces them to experience all the different ways they could die. Or maybe it’s a bit more on the space side of things and they bear witness to the scale of the universe and heat death, all the stars burning out as their whole universe goes dark.

Then Danny apologizes and suddenly the visions recede and they realize that wasn’t even an intentional threat. His mere presence is just like that unless he actively realizes and holds himself back.

Or there could also be like, casual references to situations so beyond the heroes’ perceptions.

He’s summoned and mentions like “oh yeah I solved those threats to your planet for you” and they’re like “Wait, threats? Plural? There was more than one?!”

Because to them, those other threats were impossible to see coming (e.g. a really small, really distant asteroid that wasn’t visible to any telescopes yet, or their universe being on a collision course with something else in the Infinite Realms, or etc). But to Danny they were like… obvious issues with easy fixes (or maybe not easy per se but like, a normal part of the job).
